2020 Vuelta A Burgos
The 2020 Vuelta a Burgos was a men's road bicycle race which took place from 28 July to 1 August 2020 in the Spanish province of Burgos. It was the 42nd edition of the Vuelta a Burgos stage race, which was established in 1946. The race was rated as a 2.Pro event and formed part of the 2020 UCI Europe Tour and the 2020 UCI ProSeries. The race was made up of five stages. Teams Twenty-three teams participated in the race, including 14 of the 19 UCI WorldTeams, six UCI Professional Continental teams, and three UCI Continental teams. Each team entered seven riders except for , which entered only six, for a starting peloton of 153 riders. 127 riders finished the race. 2020 UCI Europe Tour
The 2020 UCI Europe Tour is the sixteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2020 season began on 25 January 2020 with the GP Belek and ended on 14 October 2020 with the 2020 Scheldeprijs, Scheldeprijs. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Burgos
Burgos () is a city in Spain located in the autonomous community of Castile and León. It is the capital and most populated municipality of the province of Burgos. Espinosa De Los Monteros
Espinosa de los Monteros is a municipality located in the province of Burgos, Castile and León, Spain, with a population of c. 2,100 inhabitants. The village is spread over a large rural area at the southern outskirts of a mountainous area of the Cantabrian Mountains. Sargentes de la Lora is a municipality located in the province of Burgos, Castile and León, Spain. According to the 2004 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 196 inhabitants. In 1963, a petroleum reservoir was discovered in Ayoluengo de la Lora, a town of the municipality. Since 1964, 17 million oil barrels had been extracted. Fernando Gaviria Rendón (born 19 August 1994) is a Colombian professional road and track racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He is well known as a sprinter. Riding for the Colombian national cycling team, Gaviria came to international attention at the 2015 Tour de San Luis, where he beat former world champion Mark Cavendish in two sprint finishes. Villadiego is a Spanish town and municipality in the comarca of Odra-Pisuerga, in west of the province of Burgos, Castilla y León. It is seat of the comarca of Odra-Pisuerga. Castrojeriz or Castrogeriz is a locality and municipality located in the province of Burgos, in the autonomous community of Castile and León (Spain), the comarca of Odra-Pisuerga, the judicial district of Burgos, head of the town council of the same name and former head of the Castrojeriz judicial district. It is a popular stop along the French Way of the Camino de Santiago or ''The Way of Saint James'', which crosses the city longitudinally for more than 1,500 meters.
