2020 UCI Europe Tour
The 2020 UCI Europe Tour is the sixteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2020 season began on 25 January 2020 with the GP Belek and ended on 14 October 2020 with the 2020 Scheldeprijs, Scheldeprijs. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. The UCI race classifications, UCI ratings from highest to lowest are as follows: * Multi-day events: 2.Pro, 2.1 and 2.2 * One-day events: 1.Pro, 1.1 and 1.2 Events January February March April–June No race were held due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The UCI Continental Circuits are a series of road bicycle racing competitions which were introduced in 2005 by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) to expand cycling around the world. The 2020 Étoile de Bessèges () was a road cycling stage race that took place between 5 and 9 February 2020. The race is rated as a 2.1 event as part of the 2020 UCI Europe Tour, and was the 50th edition of the Étoile de Bessèges cycling race. Teams Twenty teams were invited to the race. The Russian Cycling Federation or ФВСР (in Russian: Федерация велосипедного спорта России) is the national governing body of cycle racing in Russia. Its headquarters are located in Moscow. The President is Igor Viktorovich Makarov, President and proprietor of ITERA International Group of Companies (ITERA Group). The Russian Cycling Federation is a member of the UCI and the UEC. After the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the UCI forbade Russian teams from competing in international events. It also stripped Russia of scheduled events.
