2020 Tour De La Provence
The 2020 Tour de la Provence was a road cycling stage race that took place between 13 and 16 February 2020 in the French region of Provence. The race is rated as a 2.Pro event as part of the 2020 UCI Europe Tour and the 2020 UCI ProSeries, and was the fifth edition of the Tour de la Provence cycling race. Teams Twenty-one teams were invited to the race. Of these teams, fourteen are UCI WorldTour teams, five are UCI Professional Continental teams, and two are UCI Continental teams. Each team entered seven riders, except for and , who each entered six riders. Of the starting peloton of 145 riders, only 126 riders finished. 2020 UCI Europe Tour
The 2020 UCI Europe Tour is the sixteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2020 season began on 25 January 2020 with the GP Belek and ended on 14 October 2020 with the 2020 Scheldeprijs, Scheldeprijs. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. The UCI race classifications, UCI ratings from highest to lowest are as follows: * Multi-day events: 2.Pro, 2.1 and 2.2 * One-day events: 1.Pro, 1.1 and 1.2 Events January February March April–June No race were held due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Chalet Reynard
Chalet Reynard is a former refuge turned into a restaurant at the foot of a ski resort, at an altitude of , on the southern face of Mont Ventoux, in the department of Vaucluse, France. The station was created in February 1927 by . Access Chalet Reynard is located at the intersection of the RD 974 road, connecting Bédoin to the summit of Mount Ventoux, and RD 164 joining Sault. The routes from Sault and Bédoin are accessible throughout the year. However, much of the route up Mount Ventoux is closed to traffic in winter, from November 15 to March 15, for weather reasons. Sport Winter Sport In winter, the station uses two ski lifts to reach six ski slopes, red and blue, for a total of of alpine skiing. Mont Ventoux
Mont Ventoux (; oc, Ventor, label= Provençal ) is a mountain in the Provence region of southern France, located some northeast of Carpentras, Vaucluse. On the north side, the mountain borders the department of Drôme. At , it is the highest mountain in the region and has been nicknamed the "Beast of Provence", the "Giant of Provence", or "The Bald Mountain". It has gained fame through its inclusion in the Tour de France cycling race; in 2009 it was the scene of the first penultimate-day mountain top finish in the Tour de France, with Alberto Contador sealing his yellow jersey. Istres (; Occitan: Istre) is a commune in southern France, some 60 km (38 mi) northwest of Marseille. It is in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, of which it is a subprefecture. La Ciotat (; oc, label= Provençal Occitan, La Ciutat ; in Mistralian spelling ''La Ciéutat''; 'the City') is a commune in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southern France.
