2020 Stetson Hatters Football Team
The 2020 Stetson Hatters football team represented Stetson University during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They were led by eighth-year head coach Roger Hughes and played their home games at Spec Martin Stadium. They competed as members of the Pioneer Football League. Roger Hughes
Roger A. Hughes (born September 4, 1960) is an American football coach and former player. He served as the head coach at Princeton University from 2000 to 2009, and amassed a 47–52 record. He was the head coach at Stetson University, which revived their program after a hiatus of more than 50 years beginning with the 2013 season. On May 7, 2021, Hughes resigned to become the president of Doane University. Biography Hughes grew up in Crawford, Nebraska and was a three-sport athlete at Crawford High School. He received a basketball scholarship to attend Western Nebraska Community College, Nebraska Western Junior College, where he spent one year, before transferring to Doane College. They were led by eighth-year head coach Dale Lindsey and played their home games at Torero Stadium. They competed as a member of the Pioneer Football League (PFL). The Toreros had a game scheduled against Georgetown (November 21), but the game was canceled on July 13 due to the Patriot League's decision to cancel fall sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Jayne Stadium is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose stadium in Morehead, Kentucky, United States. It opened in 1964 and is home to the Morehead State University Eagles football team. Surrounding Jacobs Field, the stadium hosts press and VIP facilities, box seats and home and visiting stands. The stadium, opened in 1964, also has locker room facilities, MSU's primary sports medicine facilities and the football offices. The football offices have been remodeled and upgraded, and the football locker room on the north end of the facility was recently renovated and now features hardwood lockers for all players and an upgraded equipment room/storage area.
