2020 Players Championship
The 2020 Players Championship was the 47th edition of The Players Championship, scheduled for March 12–15 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. It was canceled by the PGA Tour prior to the second round in response to the COVID-19 pandemic; the tour had earlier announced that the tournament would proceed behind closed doors (sport), behind closed doors for the remaining three days. Hideki Matsuyama held a two stroke lead after the first round having equaled the course record of 63, nine under par. Defending champion Rory McIlroy was at even par (72), tied for 83rd place. Half of the United States dollar, $15 million purse was split equally among the 144 competing players, at $52,000 each. Corey Conners
Corey Conners (born January 6, 1992) is a Canadian professional golfer currently playing on the PGA Tour. Conners has played on PGA Tour Canada, PGA Tour Latinoamérica, and the Web.com Tour. Amateur career Conners was raised in Listowel, Ontario. He won the 2010 Ontario Amateur and was runner-up to Gunn Yang at the 2014 U.S. Amateur conducted at Atlanta Athletic Club. Nate Lashley
Nathan Clark Lashley (born December 12, 1982) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Early life Lashley was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He played college golf at the University of Arizona. During his junior year, his parents and girlfriend died in a plane crash in Wyoming while flying from Sunriver, Oregon, where they had watched Lashley compete in the NCAA West Regional, to Nebraska. Professional career Lashley turned professional after graduating in 2005. He played on the Nationwide Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour) in 2006 but made only two cuts in 14 events. Andrew Landry (born August 7, 1987) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Early life Born in Port Neches, Texas, Landry played college golf at the Arkansas Razorbacks, University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Fayetteville, where he was a three-time All-American and won one individual title. Brooks Koepka (, born May 3, 1990) is an American professional golfer who plays on the LIV Golf tour. In October 2018, he became world number one in the Official World Golf Ranking for 47 weeks after winning the 2018 CJ Cup. Kevin James Kisner (born February 15, 1984) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Early life Kisner was born in Aiken, South Carolina and attended South Aiken High School. He played college golf at the University of Georgia and was a member of their 2005 NCAA Division I Championship team along with Chris Kirk, Richard Scott, and Brendon Todd. Kang Sung-hoon ( ko, 강성훈; born 4 June 1987), also known as Sung Kang, is a South Korean professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He won the 2019 AT&T Byron Nelson, his first win on the PGA Tour. Amateur career In April 2006 Kang won the SBS Lotte Skyhill Open, the opening event of the Korean Tour season. Im Sung-jae ( ko, 임성재; born 30 March 1998), also known as Sungjae Im, is a South Korean professional golfer. Im won twice and was Player of the Year on the 2018 Web.com Tour. Viktor Hovland
Viktor Hovland (born 18 September 1997) is a Norwegian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He won the 2018 U.S. Amateur and then became the first Norwegian to win on the PGA Tour (at the 2020 Puerto Rico Open) and on the European Tour (at the 2021 BMW International Open). Tyrrell Glen Hatton (born 14 October 1991) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and the PGA Tour.
