2020 PCS Season
The 2020 PCS season was the first year of the Pacific Championship Series (PCS), a professional esports league for the MOBA PC game '' League of Legends''. The PCS was created in late 2019 as a merger between the ''League of Legends'' Master Series (LMS) and ''League of Legends'' SEA Tour (LST). The spring regular season was initially set to begin on 8 February but was postponed until further notice on 29 January due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. It was later announced on 18 February that the 2020 season would officially begin on 29 February. The spring split began with the first day of the spring regular season on 29 February and concluded with the spring finals on 3 May. The summer split began with the first day of the summer regular season on 20 June and concluded with the summer finals on 30 August. Pacific Championship Series
The Pacific Championship Series (PCS) is a professional esports league for ''League of Legends'' players competing in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia ( excluding Vietnam). Its creation was officially announced by Riot Games on 19 December 2019, after Garena, which ran the ''League of Legends'' Master Series (LMS) and ''League of Legends'' SEA Tour (LST), announced in September that it was planning to merge the two leagues. The PCS has ten teams: six from Taiwan, two from Hong Kong, one from Malaysia, and one from Singapore. 2020 League Of Legends World Championship
The 2020 ''League of Legends'' World Championship was an esports tournament for the multiplayer online battle arena video game ''League of Legends''. It was the tenth iteration of the ''League of Legends'' World Championship, an annual international tournament organized by the game's developer, Riot Games. It was held from 25 September to 31 October in Shanghai, China. Twenty-two teams from eleven regions qualified for the tournament based on their placement in regional circuits, such as those in China, Europe, North America, South Korea and Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau/Southeast Asia, with ten of those teams having to reach the main "groups" event via a play-in stage. PSG Esports is a French professional esports organisation founded in 2016. Based in Paris, it is the esports department of the parent club Paris Saint-Germain F.C. Nova Esports is a professional esports organisation based in Hong Kong. It was founded in September 2016. Berjaya Dragons was a Malaysian esports organisation which had teams competing in ''League of Legends'' and '' League of Legends: Wild Rift''. The 2020 Mid-Season Streamathon was an esports live stream event hosted by Riot Games, featuring international competitions and exhibition matches from multiple regions.
