2020 Orlando Pride Season
The 2020 Orlando Pride season was Orlando Pride's fifth season in the National Women's Soccer League, the top division of women's soccer in the United States. Notable events In October 2019, Alex Morgan announced she was pregnant and expecting to give birth in April 2020. Morgan had stated she aimed to return to playing in time for the Olympics with the United States in July 2020 but the games were eventually postponed by COVID-19. Morgan gave birth on May 7, 2020. Five Pride players signed with Australian W-League teams to play with during the 2019–20 NWSL offseason: Emily van Egmond and Claire Emslie joined Melbourne City, Alanna Kennedy joined Sydney FC, Carson Pickett joined Brisbane Roar and Camila joined Canberra United. Orlando Pride
The Orlando Pride is a professional women's soccer team based in Orlando, Florida. The team joined the National Women's Soccer League, the top level of women's soccer in the US, for the 2016 season. It became the tenth team to be added to the league. It is affiliated with the MLS team Orlando City SC and play their home games at Exploria Stadium in downtown Orlando. Claire Emslie (born 8 March 1994) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a forward for Angel City FC in the National Women's Soccer League of the United States of America, and the Scotland national team. She previously played college soccer for the Florida Atlantic Owls and professionally for Hibernian, Bristol City, Manchester City, Orlando Pride, Melbourne City, and Everton. She made her full international debut in 2013 and was selected for the Scotland squad at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. Erik Ustruck
Erik John Ustruck (born January 4, 1985 in St. Louis, Missouri) is former soccer player for the Guam national football team. He played for Orlando City in the USL Professional Division before his retirement from club soccer in 2013. Ustruck was Director of Soccer Operations for Orlando City SC of Major League Soccer and General Manager for Orlando Pride of NWSL before departing professional soccer in 2021. Amanda Duffy is a former soccer player and executive. Previously Duffy had been president of Louisville City FC in the USL, director of operations for USL Second Division, and senior director of the USL W-League before joining the NWSL as managing director of operations in December 2016. On January 15, 2019, Duffy was named president of the NWSL, holding the position for a year. She later spent two seasons as executive vice-president of Orlando Pride. The Women's Super League (WSL), currently known as the Barclays Women's Super League (BWSL) for sponsorship reasons, is the highest league of women's football in England. Chloe Logarzo (born 22 December 1994) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Western United in the A-League Women on loan from Kansas City Current of the National Women's Soccer League and the Australia women's national team. 2019–20 W-League
The 2019–20 W-League season was the twelfth season of the W-League, the Australian national women's association football competition. Nine teams competed in the league, with most of the players from Australia but 33 of them from 11 other countries. Melbourne City was undefeated through the regular season, the third time this has occurred in the W-League and the second time it has been achieved by Melbourne City. Camila Martins Pereira (born 10 October 1994), commonly known as Camila or Camilinha, is a Brazilian professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder or outside back for Brazilian Série A1 team Palmeiras.
