2020 Nova Scotia Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2020 Nova Scotia Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the provincial women's curling championship of Nova Scotia, was held from January 20 to 26 at the Dartmouth Curling Club in Dartmouth. The winning Mary-Anne Arsenault rink represented Nova Scotia at the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and finished with a 4–4 record. The event was held in conjunction with the 2020 Deloitte Tankard, the provincial men's curling championship. Mary-Anne Arsenault defeated former teammate Colleen Jones 7–4 in the final to win her ninth Nova Scotia Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Dartmouth ( ) is an urban community and former city located in the Halifax Regional Municipality of Nova Scotia, Canada. Dartmouth is located on the eastern shore of Halifax Harbour. Jillian Brothers (born May 20, 1983 as Jill Mouzar ronounced "MOW-zer" is a Canadian curler. Brothers was born in Liverpool, Nova Scotia and now resides in Bedford, Nova Scotia. She currently plays second on Team Andrea Kelly out of New Brunswick. Career Brothers started curling in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. Her first Nova Scotia junior championship was in 2001, along with Meaghan Smart, Meghan MacAdams, Carolyn Marshall, and coach Albert Smart. This team was the first Liverpool team to curl at the national level since 1970, representing Nova Scotia at the 2001 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. Jennifer Mitchell (born May 5, 1988 as Jennifer Brine) is a Canadian curler from Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is a two-time Nova Scotia Scotties Tournament of Hearts champion. Career Mitchell made her first national appearance at the 2006 Canadian Junior Curling Championships playing third for Sarah Murphy. After a 7–4 round robin record, they defeated Northern Ontario in the tiebreaker before losing to Manitoba to claim the bronze medal. Erin Carmody
Erin Carmody (born August 4, 1988) is a Canadian curler, originally from Prince Edward Island but residing in Halifax, Nova Scotia as of 2019. As of 2022, she plays third on Team Sarah Murphy. A native of the city of Summerside, Carmody was a biology student at the University of Prince Edward Island when she broke onto the curling scene by winning three consecutive provincial junior championships, twice with an undefeated record. She entered the national scene in 2010 after forming a rink with longtime teammate Geri-Lynn Ramsay and veteran curlers Kathy O'Rourke and Trisha Affleck that captured the 2010 provincial championships at the senior level.
