2020 Moto2 Season
The 2020 FIM Moto2 World Championship was a part of the 72nd F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. The season calendar has been significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to the cancellation or postponement of many races. Enea Bastianini won the Moto2 championship with 7 podiums and 3 wins beating the championship runner up Luca Marini by 9 points. Teams and riders All teams used series-specified Dunlop tyres and Triumph 765cc 3-cylinder engines. The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM; en, International Motorcycling Federation) is the global governing/sanctioning body of motorcycle racing. It represents 116 national motorcycle federations that are divided into six regional continental unions. There are seven motorcycle-racing disciplines that FIM covers, encompassing 82 world championships as well as hundreds of secondary championships: enduro, trial, circuit racing, motocross and supermoto, cross-country, e-bike, and track racing. Augusto Fernández Guerra (born 23 September 1997) is a Spanish motorcycle racer who currently competes in the 2022 Moto2 World Championship, for the Red Bull KTM Ajo team. Remy Christopher Gardner (born 24 February 1998) is an Australian motorcycle racer, best known for winning the 2021 Moto2 World Championship with Red Bull KTM Ajo. He is the son of 1987 premier class world champion, Wayne Gardner. Career Moto3 World Championship Gardner made his first three appearances in the Moto3 World Championship in 2014, twice as replacement for injured riders and once as a wild card entry, scoring one point in Malaysia. Marcel Schrötter
Marcel Schrötter (born 2 January 1993) is a German motorcycle racer. Born in Vilgertshofen, Schrötter started out in the German 125cc National Championship in 2007 and finished fifth in his debut campaign, before he took back-to-back titles in 2008 and 2009. In the 2008 season the young german made his World Championship debut as a wildcard rider at the Sachsenring, before three further races in 2009, with a highly impressive fifth place in the final round of the season at Valencia. Thomas Lüthi
Thomas Lüthi (born 6 September 1986) is a Swiss sporting director at Prüstel GP, and former Grand Prix motorcycle racer. He spent 19 years in Grand Prix world championships, becoming one of only six riders to reach 300 race starts, spending much of his career with the Interwetten Paddock team, with who he became the 2005 season's 125cc world champion. Andi Farid Izdihar, also known as Andi Gilang (born 14 August 1997), is a motorcycle racer from Indonesia who currently races in Asia Superbike 1000 class of Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC). Héctor Garzó Vicent (born 9 June 1998) is a Spanish motorcycle racer, competing in the MotoE World Cup for Tech3 team. Career Moto3 Junior World Championship Garzó competed in the 2016 FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship without scoring a point.
