2020 MTN 8
The 2020 MTN 8 was the 46th edition of South Africa's annual soccer cup competition, the MTN 8. It featured the top eight teams of the Premier Soccer League at the end of the 2019–20 season. Supersport United were defending champions, but were eliminated in the Semifinal by Bloemfontein Celtic. The competition was won by Orlando Pirates, ending a six-year trophy drought. Mogakolodi Ngele (born 6 October 1990 in Gaborone) is a Botswana footballer who currently plays for South African club Chippa United and the Botswana national football team as a midfielder. Orlando Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Soweto, a suburb of Johannesburg, in Gauteng province in South Africa. It is the home venue for Orlando Pirates Football Club, a professional soccer team that plays in the Premier Soccer League. Orlando Stadium has hosted MTN 8 Cup Final and a Nedbank Cup Final. Thohoyandou ( ve, Ṱhohoyanḓou) is a town in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. It is the administrative centre of Vhembe District Municipality and Thulamela Local Municipality. It is also known for being the former capital of the bantustan of Venda. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches, and is the home stadium of Venda Football Academy F.C. football club. The stadium has a capacity of 20,000 people.
