2020 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship
The 2020 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship was the 126th staging of the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Limerick County Board in 1887. The original championship draw took place on 16 December 2019, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the draws for a rescheduled championship took place on 24 June 2020 with a new format being adopted. The championship began on 23 July 2020 and ended on 19 September 2020. Patrickswell were the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Na Piarsaigh at the semi-final stage. Murroe-Boher were relegated after suffering a 0–24 to 1–17 defeat by Garryspillane in a playoff. On 19 September 2020, Na Piarsaigh won the championship after a 5–27 to 1–12 victory over Doon in the final at the LIT Gaelic Grounds. 2021 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship
The 2021 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship was the 127th staging of the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Limerick County Board in 1887. The draw for the group stage placings took place on 30 June 2021. The championship began on 3 September 2021 and ended on 24 October 2021. Na Piarsaigh were the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Patrickswell in the semi-final. Monaleen were relegated from the championship after being beaten in a playoff by Blackrock. The final was played on 24 October 2020 at the TUS Gaelic Grounds in Limerick, between Kilmallock and Patrickswell, in what was their first meeting in a final in 29 years. Rathkeale () is a town in west County Limerick, in Ireland. It is 30 km (18 mi) southwest of Limerick city on the N21 road to Tralee, County Kerry, and lies on the River Deel. Rathkeale has a significant Irish Traveller population, and since 1995, almost half the town residents were members of the traveling community. Rathkeale also has the largest concentration of descendants of the German Palatines who immigrated to Ireland in the early 18th century. Caherline GAA (Irish: ''Cathair Laighin'') is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in County Limerick, Ireland. It is based in the parish of Caherline/Caherconlish in the east division of Limerick GAA. History The club was founded in 1884, making it one of the oldest clubs in county Limerick. The early years of the club were its most successful, winning the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship on three occasions; 1896, 1905 and 1907. Caherline also lost four county finals in this period; 1889, 1898 (when a lack of crowd control caused the match to be abandoned), 1908 and 1916. The club is based in the parish of Donoughmore-Knockea-Roxboro, on the southern outskirts of Limerick City and is affiliated to the East Board of Limerick GAA. Claughaun Gaelic Athletic Club ( ga, CLG Chlochán) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club within Limerick GAA, based in St Brigid's parish on the southside of Limerick City, Ireland. Ahane GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the Ahane, Castleconnell and Montpelier areas of east County Limerick, Republic of Ireland. The club fields teams in both hurling and football and historically is regarded as one of the great clubs of Limerick. Adare GAA
Adare GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA club based in Adare, County Limerick, Republic of Ireland. Adare have reached the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship, County Senior Hurling Final on 12 occasions. After losing the finals of 1968, 1986, 1990, 1993 and 1996, they finally won their first championship in 2001 and successfully defended it in 2002. In 2003, they narrowly missed out on winning three county titles in a row after losing out to Patrickswell GAA, Patrickswell in the final.
