2020 Liga 3 (Georgia)
Тhe 2020 Liga 3 season was the fourth one under its current name and 33rd since Georgia formed independent football league system in 1990. Team changes Five new members joined the league after the previous season. Tbilisi City and Spaeri gained promotion from Liga 4, while Guria Lanchkhuti, Kolkheti-1913 and Tskhinvali were relegated from the second division. The latter, though, having failed to meet the existing financial commitments, were expelled and replaced by Gareji Sagarejo, a third place team from the lower league. Review The teams played opening matches of the season in early March, but as COVID was raging, all sport activities were halted. The games resumed in late July. A two-round competition concluded in December with Gareji Sagarejo winning the league. Kolkheti-1913 finished second, while Gori prevailed in a battle for the third qualifying slot. But both failed in their promotion bid following their play-off performance. The two bottom teams were spared ...

Liga 3 (Georgia)
Liga 3, organized by Georgian Football Federation since 1990, is the third division of professional football in Georgia. Until 2017, when the current name was introduced, it was known as Meore Liga (the Second league). Structure and league system There were 20 teams competing in the league in 2017. In 2019, when Liga 4 was formed, their number was reduced to ten, although after two seasons GFF decided to extend the league to 14 at the expense of two bottom teams from the previous season and two second-placed clubs from Liga 4 While and Red Groups. For 2022 the number of clubs was increased to 16. Seasons run based on Spring-Autumn system with each team playing an equal amount of home and away games against their league rivals. The league operates based on a system of promotion and relegation. FC Kolkheti Khobi
FC Kolkheti Khobi is a Georgian association football club based in the town of Khobi. Following the 2022 season they won promotion to Erovnuli Liga 2, the second tier of Georgian league system. The club has spent several seasons in the top division. History Established in 1936, Kolkheti played many years in Georgian championship during the Soviet Union. In 1988 the club won the title and advanced to the Soviet Second league where the next year they finished in the 5th place. After 1990, when Umaglesi Liga was formed, Kolkheti participated in initial three seasons. Later they spent several years in the second and third divisions. The club returned to the top flight for 1999/2000 season only to finish at the bottom of the table. In 2007, the club rejoined Pirveli Liga, where they played for ten successive seasons. Lanchkhuti
Lanchkhuti ( ka, ლანჩხუთი) is a city in western Georgian region of Guria. It has a population of about 8,000. Lanchkhuti received city status in 1961. Under the USSR, it was the centre of the Georgian SSR Lanchkhuti area and today continues to serve as the capital of the eponymous district within the Guria region. Lanchkhuti is an industrial town with a tea processing factory, cannery, meat and dairy factory and a brick and tile factory. The town is served by a railway station on the Samtredia-Batumi line. Gori ( ka, გორი ) is a city in eastern Georgia, which serves as the regional capital of Shida Kartli and is located at the confluence of two rivers, the Mtkvari and the Liakhvi. Kakheti
Kakheti ( ka, კახეთი ''K’akheti''; ) is a region (mkhare) formed in the 1990s in eastern Georgia from the historical province of Kakheti and the small, mountainous province of Tusheti. Telavi is its capital. The region comprises eight administrative districts: Telavi, Gurjaani, Qvareli, Sagarejo, Dedoplistsqaro, Signagi, Lagodekhi and Akhmeta. Sagarejo
Sagarejo ( ka, საგარეჯო) is a town in Kakheti, Georgia. It is situated east of Georgia's capital, Tbilisi, and has the population of 10,871 (2014 census). It serves as an administrative center of the Sagarejo district. The town is traditionally considered a chief settlement of the Gare-Kakheti area (Outer Kakheti). The settlement is first mentioned in written records in the 11th century under the name of Tvali, literally meaning "an eye". FC Spaeri
FC Spaeri (Georgian: საფეხბურთო კლუბი სპაერი) is a Georgian association football club, based in Tbilisi. Since the 2022 season the club competes in Liga 2, the second tier of Georgian football system. History Spaeri was established in 2017 by five individuals working in the Special State Protection Service. The team mostly consisted of the servicemen of this organization and initially participated in the Amateur League before becoming a member of Regionuli Liga.
