2020 Jordanian Pro League
The 2020 Jordanian Pro League (known as the Al-Manaseer Jordanian Pro League, named after Ziad AL-Manaseer Companies Group for sponsorship reasons) was the 68th season of Jordanian Pro League since its inception in 1944. The season started on 5 March, but was put on hold due to COVID-19 pandemic in Jordan then finished in 2021. Al-Faisaly are the defending champions of the 2018–19 season. Ma'an and Sahab joined as the promoted clubs from the 2018–19 League Division 1. They replaced Al-Baqa'a and That Ras who were relegated to the 2020 League Division 1. Teams Twelve teams will compete in the league – the top ten teams from the 2018–19 season and the two teams promoted from the 2018–19 Division 1. The championship consists of twelve competing teams in a home and away league system. The league not held in the years : 1948, 1953, 1957, 1958, 1967, 1968, 1969, and not finished in the 1998 in 2002 the league change calendar to a fall spring season. In 2020 the league return to a spring fall season. Competition format Competition There are 12 clubs in the Premier League. During the course of a season (from March to October) each club plays the others twice (a double round-robin system), once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents', for 22 games. Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. Teams are ranked by total points, then goal difference, and then goals scored. Irbid ( ar, إِربِد), known in ancient times as Arabella or Arbela (Άρβηλα in Ancient Greek), is the capital and largest city of the Irbid Governorate. Amman International Stadium
The Amman International Stadium ( ar, ستاد عمان الدولي) is a stadium in Al-Hussein City, Amman, Jordan. It is the largest stadium in Jordan. The stadium was built in 1964 and opened in 1968.
