2020 ICC Men's T20 World Cup
The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the seventh ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament, with the matches played in the United Arab Emirates and Oman from 17 October to 14 November 2021. The West Indies were the defending champions, but were eventually eliminated in the Super 12 stage. Originally the event was scheduled to be held in Australia from 18 October to 15 November 2020, but in July 2020, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that this tournament had been postponed, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In August 2020, the ICC confirmed that India would host the 2021 tournament as planned, with Australia being named as the host for the succeeding 2022 tournament. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the world governing body of cricket. The Oman Cricket Board, known as Oman Cricket for marketing purposes, is the official governing body of the sport of cricket in Oman. Its current headquarters are located in Ruwi, Oman. Cyclone Shaheen
Cyclones ''Gulab'' and ''Shaheen'' were two related, consecutive tropical cyclones that caused considerable damage to South and West Asia. ''Gulab'' impacted eastern India, while ''Shaheen'' impacted Pakistan, Iran, Oman and the United Arab Emirates. The International Cricket Council (ICC) was founded at Lord's on 15 June 1909 as the Imperial Cricket Conference, with Australia, England, and South Africa as its founding members. Geoff Allardice (born 7 May 1967) is an Australian former cricketer and administrator, who served as the CEO and General Manager of Cricket for the International Cricket Council (ICC). He was made the acting CEO in March 2021, taking the role on in a full-time capacity from November 2021. In April 2022, the ICC appointed Wasim Khan as their General Manager, taking over from Allardice. Allardice played 14 first-class cricket matches for Victoria between 1991 and 1994. 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup
The 2022 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup was the twelfth edition of the Women's Cricket World Cup, which was held in New Zealand in March and April 2022. It was originally scheduled for 6 February to 7 March 2021 but was postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 15 December 2021, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that the tournament would start on 4 March 2022, with the final scheduled for 3 April 2022. New Zealand qualified automatically as hosts, with all other qualification places determined by the ICC ODI Rankings.
