2020 Herculis
2020 Herculis was the 34th edition of the annual outdoor track and field meeting held on 14 August 2020 at the Stade Louis II in Monaco. It was the first leg of the 2020 Diamond League, which had been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Uganda's Joshua Cheptegei set a new 5000 metres world record of 12:35.36 minutes, knocking two seconds off the previous record set by Kenenisa Bekele in 2004.Cheptegei breaks world 5000m record in Monaco as Diamond League action returns

World Athletics, formerly known as the International Amateur Athletic Federation (from 1912 to 2001) and International Association of Athletics Federations (from 2001 to 2019, both abbreviated as the IAAF) is the international governing body for the sport of athletics, covering track and field, cross country running, road running, race walking, mountain running, and ultra running. Adam Ahmed Gemili (born 6 October 1993) is a British sprinter. He is the 2014 European champion at 200 metres, and 4 x 100 metres relay, and part of the Great Britain team that won gold in the 2017 World Championships in the same event. He was the first British Athlete to go sub-10s in the 100m and sub-20s in the 200m. A silver medalist in the 100 metres and 4 × 100 m relay in the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Gemili is also a former World Junior champion at 100 m and European Under-23 champion at 100 m and 4 × 100 m relay. Amel Tuka (born 9 January 1991) is a Bosnian middle-distance runner who competes in the 800 metres. His achievements include a silver medal at the 2019 World Championships as well as a bronze medal at the 2015 World Championships. Tuka holds national records in the 400 m and 800 m disciplines. Ferguson Cheruiyot Rotich (born 30 November 1989) is a Kenyan middle-distance runner who competes in the 800 metres. He has a personal best of 1:42.54 minutes for the event. Nagmeldin "Peter" Bol (born 22 February 1994) is an Australian middle-distance runner who specialises in the 800 metres. Marco Arop (born September 20, 1998) is a Canadian track and field athlete competing in the middle distance events. He currently holds a personal best of 1:43:26 in the 800 m.
