2020 Formula Regional European Championship
The 2020 Formula Regional European Championship was a multi-event, Formula 3 open-wheel single seater motor racing championship held across Europe. The championship featured a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula 3 cars that conformed to the FIA Formula 3 regulations for the championship. This was the second season of the championship. The season started on 31 July at Misano Circuit and concluded on 6 December at Autodromo Vallelunga, after eight meetings. Gianluca Petecof won the drivers' championship at the last race, while Prema Powerteam defended the teams' title. Although Petecof came out victorious in the championship, he did not amass the highest number of race wins, with four compared to his teammates' Arthur Leclerc and Oliver Rasmussen six victories. Formula Regional European Championship
The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) is a FIA-certified regional European Formula 3 racing series. On 12 October 2018 it was announced that the Italian autosport regulator Automobile Club d’Italia (ACI) and karting promoter WSK would organize the inaugural year of the championship in 2019. Their bid was chosen over Renault Sport's bid with the same chassis, who attracted fewer votes from Single-Seater Commission members. Following the 2020 season, the Formula Renault Eurocup merged with the Formula Regional European Championship to become the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. The championship's first season featured eight rounds on the circuits across Europe with half of them in Italy. The driver champions receive FIA Super License points. Nico Göhler (born 22 May 2003) is a German racing driver who last competed in the 2021 Formula Regional European Championship, driving for KIC Motorsport. Career Lower formulae Born in Helmstedt, Göhler started his career in 2019 in the Formula 4 UAE Championship for Mücke Motorsport under an Emirati licence alongside Joshua Dürksen. His first podium came in the final race of the first event at the Dubai Autodrome with a third-place finish. He scored two more podiums, both in Dubai, and finished sixth in the standings, four positions behind teammate Dürksen. Following that the German signed for ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg to drive in the ADAC Formula 4 Championship, reuniting him with Dürksen. Roman Staněk
Roman Staněk Jr. (born 25 February 2004) is a Czech racing driver who is scheduled to compete in the 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship with Trident. He previously competed in FIA Formula 3 for three seasons, where he placed fifth in 2022, and is also the 2019 ADAC Formula 4 rookies' champion. Career Karting Staněk began karting internationally in 2014, competing in the 60 MINI category until 2016. The following year he moved up to OK Junior, and in 2018 he took part in the Karting World Championship in the OK category. Emidio Pesce (born 16 March 2002) is an Italian racing driver currently racing in the Italian GT Championship with Antonelli Motorsport. He previously competed in the Formula Regional European Championship. Career Formula 4 Pesce's first season in single seaters was in 2019 where he competed in the Italian and Spanish F4 seasons with Jenzer. Matteo Nannini (born 10 July 2003) is an Italian- Argentine racing driver who currently competes in Indy NXT for Juncos Hollinger Racing.
