2020 Florida State Seminoles Baseball Team
The 2020 Florida State Seminoles baseball team represented Florida State University during the 2020 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Seminoles played their home games at Mike Martin Field at Dick Howser Stadium as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They were led by head coach Mike Martin Jr., in his first season as head coach after succeeding his father and 40-year head coach, Mike Martin, prior to the season. On March 12, 2020, the season was suspended indefinitely due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. On March 17, 2020, the conference announced that the remainder of the season was canceled. Catcher is a Baseball positions, position in baseball and softball. When a Batter (baseball), batter takes their at bat, turn to hit, the catcher crouches behind home plate, in front of the (home plate, home) Umpire (baseball), umpire, and receives the ball from the pitcher. Durham Bulls Athletic Park (DBAP, pronounced "d-bap") is a 10,000-seat ballpark in Durham, North Carolina that is home to the Durham Bulls, the Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball. OrthoGeorgia Park at Claude Smith Field is a 1,500-seat baseball stadium on the campus of Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, United States. The facility has a press box, concession stands, and additional berm seating along the right field fence. On November 11, 2014, Mercer announced plans to renovate and expand the stadium, which will include new seating areas, concession areas, press box, dugouts, and a new entrance plaza. The 2020 Florida Atlantic Owls baseball team represented Florida Atlantic University in the sport of baseball for the 2020 college baseball season. The Owls competed in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Conference USA. They played their home games at FAU Baseball Stadium, on the university's Boca Raton, Florida, campus. The team was coached by John McCormack, who was in his eleventh season at Florida Atlantic. Robby Martin
Robert Douglas Martin Jr. (born August 17, 1999) is an American baseball outfielder for the Colorado Rockies organization. He played college baseball for the Florida State Seminoles. Amateur career Martin was born and grew up in Tampa, Florida and attended Thomas Jefferson High School. As a senior, he batted .453 with four home runs and 24 RBIs as Jefferson won the Class 6A state championship.
