2020 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl (December)
The 2020 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl was a college football bowl game played on December 22, 2020, with kickoff at 3:30 p.m. EST (1:30 p.m. local MST) on ESPN. It was the 24th edition of the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, and was one of the 2020–21 bowl games concluding the 2020 FBS football season. Organizers announced that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there would be no fans in attendance at the game. Teams The bowl was contested by the Nevada Wolf Pack, from the Mountain West Conference, and the Tulane Green Wave, from the American Athletic Conference (The American). Albertsons Stadium
Albertsons Stadium is an outdoor athletic stadium in the western United States, located on the campus of Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. It is the home field of the Boise State Broncos of the Mountain West Conference. Known as Bronco Stadium for its first 44 seasons, it was renamed in May 2014 when Albertsons, a chain of grocery stores founded by Boise area resident Joe Albertson, purchased the naming rights. Opened in 1970, it was also a track & field stadium and hosted the NCAA track & field championships twice, in 1994 and 1999. Michael Pratt (American Football)
Michael Pratt (born September 30, 2001) is an American football quarterback who currently plays for the Tulane Green Wave. Early life and high school Pratt grew up in Boca Raton, Florida and was home schooled until the ninth grade. He initially attended Boca Raton High School, where he joined the football team as a freshman after never having played the sport before. As a junior, Pratt passed for 1,208 yards and 12 touchdowns with nine interceptions while also rushing for 447 yards and three touchdowns. He transferred to Deerfield Beach High School prior to his senior year. Pratt was rated a three-star recruit and committed to play college football at Tulane. The Nevada Wolf Pack football program represents the University of Nevada, Reno (commonly referred to as "Nevada" in athletics) in college football. The Wolf Pack competes in the Mountain West Conference at the Football Bowl Subdivision level of the NCAA Division I. It was founded on October 24, 1896, as the Sagebrushers in Reno, Nevada. The Wolf Pack's home field is Mackay Stadium, located at the north end of its campus in Reno, having been moved from it original location which opened on October 23, 1909. The 2020–21 NCAA football bowl games were a series of post-season games scheduled to complete the 2020 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, previously the Humanitarian Bowl (1997–2003, 2007–2010) and the MPC Computers Bowl (2004–2006), is an NCAA-sanctioned post-season college football bowl game that has been played annually since 1997 at Albertsons Stadium on the campus of Boise State University in Boise, Idaho.
