The European Judo Championships is the Judo European Championship organized by the European Judo Union. The 2015 and 2019 editions were held during the respective European Games. This is also expected for future editions of the European Games. Jorge Ivayr Rodrigues da Fonseca (born 30 October 1992) is a Santomean-born Portuguese judoka. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men's 100 kg event, in which he was eliminated in the second round by Lukáš Krpálek. Beka Gviniashvili (born 26 October 1995) is a Georgian judoka who became European Junior Champion in 2013, 2014, and 2015 and won the World Junior Championships in 2013 in Ljubljana and in 2015 in Abu Dhabi and EYOF in 2011. Matthias Casse (born 19 February 1997) is a Belgian judoka who won the bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics. In 2017, Matthias Casse became junior world champion in Zagreb, the first Belgian male judoka to achieve this since Johan Laats in 1986.
