2020 European Amateur Team Championship
The 2020 European Amateur Team Championship took place 10–12 September at Hilversumsche Golf Club in the Netherlands. It was the 37th men's golf European Amateur Team Championship. Venue The club was founded in 1895, as the fourth golf club in the Netherlands. Its present course consists of nine holes opened in 1918, designed by Henry Burrows, and nine holes opened in 1928, designed by Harry Colt. Latest major course changes was designed by Kyle Philips in 2009. The championship course was set up with par 72. Format Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the championship was played in a reduced format, with 14 teams participating, each of them with four players. All competitors played one 18-hole-round of stroke-play on the first day. The team scores were based on the leading three scores of each team. European Ladies' Team Championship
The European Ladies' Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for women organised by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1959. It was played in odd-numbered years from 1959 to 2007 and has been played annually since 2008 (with the exception of 2012). Format Currently, the championship is contested by up to 20 teams, each of 6 players. The format consists of two rounds of strokeplay, out of which the five lowest scores from each team's six players will count each day. The total addition of the five lowest scores will constitute the team's score and determine the teams qualified for the last three rounds of matchplay. Only teams in contention for a medal will play a match format of two foursomes and five singles, while the other teams will play a one foursome and four singles match format. Eisenhower Trophy
The Eisenhower Trophy (World Men's Amateur Team Championships) is the biennial World Amateur Team Championship for men organized by the International Golf Federation. Since the tournament was first played in 1958, it is named after Dwight D. Eisenhower, the President of the United States at the time, who was a keen amateur golfer. The equivalent competition for women is the Espirito Santo Trophy. Results The 1958 championship resulted in a tie. There was an 18-hole playoff which Australia won with a score of 222 to the United States 224. From 1958 to 2000 the teams had four players with the best three scores counting for each round. David Andreas Nyfjäll (born 26 January 1999) is a Swedish professional golfer. As an amateur, he was part of the teams winning the 2017 Jacques Léglise Trophy, the 2019 European Amateur Team Championship and the 2019 Arnold Palmer Cup. Amateur career Nyfjäll won his first international title at the 2013 Finnish Junior International Championship and was a semifinalist at the 2016 Boys Amateur Championship at Muirfield in Scotland. Vincent Oliver Norrman (born 24 December 1997) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He won the 2023 Barbasol Championship, as well as the 2023 Horizon Irish Open.
