2020 EFL Trophy Final
The 2020 EFL Trophy Final (known for sponsorship reasons as the 2020 Papa John's Trophy Final) was a football match played at Wembley Stadium on 13 March 2021. It decided the winners of the 2019–20 EFL Trophy, the 36th edition of EFL Trophy, the competition, a knock-out tournament for the 48 teams in EFL League One, League One and EFL League Two, League Two and 16 category one academy sides. The final was contested by Portsmouth F.C., Portsmouth from League One, the defending champions and thus making their second successive final appearance, and Salford City F.C., Salford City from League Two, who made their finals debut. Portsmouth and Salford City had never played against each other before this EFL Trophy Final meeting. 2019–20 EFL Trophy
The 2019–20 EFL Trophy, known as the Leasing.com Trophy for sponsorship reasons, was the 37th season in the history of EFL Trophy, the competition, a knock-out tournament for Football in England, English football clubs in EFL League One, League One and EFL League Two, League Two of the English football system, and also including 16 Premier League and Championship "Elite Player Performance Plan, Academy teams" with Professional Development League#League 1, Category One status. Due to their financial crisis, Bury F.C., Bury were expelled from the EFL and automatically eliminated from the competition as well. Colonel Sir Tatton Benvenuto Mark Sykes, 6th Baronet (16 March 1879 – 16 February 1919) was an English traveller, Conservative Party politician, and diplomatic advisor, particularly with regard to the Middle East at the time of the First World War. Fabio Sole (born 15 September 2001) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Hartley Wintney on dual registration with National League South club Slough Town. Anton Walkes
Anton Charles Walkes (8 February 1997 – 19 January 2023) was an English professional footballer who played as a defender or midfielder. Walkes began his club career with Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, making one appearance for the club in the League Cup. In 2017, he was loaned to Atlanta United until the end of the 2017 season. Bradley Stephen Lethbridge (born 22 December 2000) is an English footballer who plays for Bognor Regis Town as a forward. Club career Portsmouth Lethbridge first joined Portsmouth as a central midfielder at the age of 10 but was released after just one year. Robert Joseph Andrew Dickie (born 3 March 1996) is an English professional footballer who plays for Championship club Bristol City, as a defender. He has represented England at U19 level. Club career Reading Dickie joined Reading as an eight-year-old.
