2020 Clare Senior Football Championship
The 2020 Clare Senior Football Championship was the 125th staging of the Clare Senior Football Championship since its establishment by the Clare County Board in 1887. The championship was postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic in Ireland. The draw for the opening round fixtures eventually took place on 1 July 2020. The championship began on 1 August 2020 and is scheduled to end in September 2020. The 2020 champions, and holders of the Jack Daly Cup are Kilmurry-Ibrickane who won their sixteenth overall title. Format Change Time constraints led to a revision of the championship format. The group stages were abolished and any amalgamations withdrawn. The championship saw six first-round games with the winners of these ties being drawn against each other in the quarter-final stage. Éire Óg, Inis GAA
Éire Óg, Inis GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Ennis, County Clare, Clare, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The club plays both Hurling and Gaelic Football at all age levels. Their most recent major achievement came on 7 November 2021 when they won the Clare Senior Football Championship for the nineteenth time, defeating Kilmurry Ibrickane GAA, Kilmurry-Ibrickane by 1–11 to 0–09 in Cusack Park (Ennis), Cusack Park. Prior to the official club formation in 1952, the Ennis Dalcassians represented the county capital. Between 1944-1956 and 1994-1995, players from local rivals St.Josephs Doora-Barefield GAA, St. Joseph's, Doora-Barefield joined up with the club to form the Ennis Faughs. Both clubs were competing at lower levels at the time so it was seen as an opportunity to play senior football.
