2020 British Columbia Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2020 Scotties BC Women's Curling Championship, the provincial women's curling championship for British Columbia, was held from January 28 – February 2 at Western Financial Place in Cranbrook, British Columbia. The winning Corryn Brown rink represented British Columbia at the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and finished with a 5–6 record. The event was held in conjunction with the 2020 BC Men's Curling Championship, the provincial men's championship. Corryn Brown won her first British Columbia Scotties Tournament of Hearts with a steal in the extra end to defeat the Sarah Wark rink. Cranbrook ( ) is a city in southeast British Columbia, Canada, located on the west side of the Kootenay River at its confluence with the St. Mary River (British Columbia), St. Mary's River. Sarah Loken
Sarah Loken (born November 3, 1999) is a Canadian curler from White Rock, British Columbia. She currently plays lead on Team Clancy Grandy. Career Before joining the Sarah Daniels' Delta based rink, Loken skipped her own team of Catera Park, Kylie Karoway and Kim Bonneau. The team played in the 2016 BC junior women's championship where they made it all the way to the semifinals before losing to Team Daniels. She then joined the Daniels rink at third for the 2016–17 season. At the BC championship, the team finished second through the round robin with a 4–3 record. They then dropped the 1 vs. 2 game to Corryn Brown but were able to beat Alyssa Connell in the semifinal to qualify for the championship game. Kayla MacMillan (born May 10, 1998, in Belleville, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from New Westminster, British Columbia. She currently plays third on Team Clancy Grandy. Career While playing juniors in Ontario, MacMillan skipped her team of Sarah Daviau, Lindsay Dubue and Marcia Richardson to a gold medal at the 2015 Optimist Under 18 Women's Championship. After a 5–0 record through the round robin, the team beat Japan 6–2 in the semifinal and defeated Alberta 4–1 in the championship game. Diane Gail Gushulak ( McLean; born May 27, 1969) is a Canadian curler from Vancouver, British Columbia. She currently skips her own team out of Vernon. Career Early career in Ontario Gushulak's early curling career was spent in Ontario. In 1990 she won a provincial varsity championship while attending McMaster University. In 1995 she won the Ontario Scott Tournament of Hearts throwing second stones for the Alison Goring rink. Dailene Pewarchuk (born Dailene Sivertson; August 16, 1990) is a Canadian curler from Victoria, British Columbia. She is currently the alternate on Team Taylor Reese-Hansen. Career Juniors Pewarchuk made her national curling debut at the 2007 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, skipping her team out of the Victoria Curling Club.
