2020 Asian Wrestling Championships
The 2020 Asian Wrestling Championships was held at the KD Jadhav Indoor Stadium, Indira Gandhi Arena, New Delhi in India. The event took place from 18 to 23 February. China was barred from entering into the competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic. North Korea and Turkmenistan were unable to participate in the tournament due to circumstances stemming from the outbreak. Arsalan Budazhapov is a Russian-born Kyrgyzstani freestyle wrestler. He won one of the bronze medals in the men's 79kg event at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. Daulet Niyazbekov ( kk, Дәулет Шораұлы Ниязбеков; born 12 February 1989) is a Kazakh freestyle wrestler, who was a member of the Olympic Games 2012. He competed in the men's freestyle 55 kg and he lost his bronze medal match to World Champion Yang Kyong-il.
