2020 Army Black Knights Football Team
The 2020 Army Black Knights football team represented the United States Military Academy as an independent in the 2020 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Black Knights were led by seventh-year head coach Jeff Monken and played their home games at Michie Stadium in West Point, New York In a season impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Black Knights compiled a 9–2 regular season record. They defeated the Midshipmen of Navy and the Air Force Falcons to secure Army's ninth Commander-in-Chief's Trophy, their third in four seasons. Jeff Monken
Jeffrey Michael Monken (born April 15, 1967) is an American football coach. He is currently the head football coach at the United States Military Academy, a position he has held since the 2014 season. Monken previously served as the head football coach of Georgia Southern University from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, he worked under Paul Johnson (American football coach), Paul Johnson as a running backs coach and special teams coordinator at Georgia Southern, the United States Naval Academy, and Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia Tech. Mike Buddie
Michael Joseph Buddie (born December 12, 1970) is an American former professional baseball pitcher and the current athletic director at the United States Military Academy. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1998 to 2002 with the New York Yankees and Milwaukee Brewers. Baseball career Buddie attended Wake Forest University, and in 1990 and 1991 he played collegiate summer baseball with the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Buddie was selected by the New York Yankees in the fourth round of the 1992 MLB Draft. He played for the Yankees and the Milwaukee Brewers from to . In 87 career games, he had a 5–4 record with a 4.67 ERA. He batted and threw right-handed. Paul Clayton Johnson (born August 20, 1957) is a retired American football coach.
