The 2019–20 season was Walsall F.C., Walsall's 132nd season in their existence and first back in EFL League Two, League Two following the club's relegation 2018–19 Walsall F.C. season, in the 2018-19 season. Along with competing in League Two, the club participated in the FA Cup, Football League Cup, League Cup and EFL Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2019 indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Walsall (, or ; locally ) is a market town and administrative centre in the West Midlands County, England. Historically part of Staffordshire, it is located north-west of Birmingham, east of Wolverhampton and from Lichfield. Walsall is the administrative centre of the wider Metropolitan Borough of Walsall. It was transferred from Staffordshire to the newly created West Midlands County in 1974. At the 2011 census, the town's built-up area had a population of 67,594, with the wider borough having a population of 269,323.
