	2019–20 Süper Lig The 2019–20 Süper Lig, officially called the Süper Lig Cemil Usta season, was the 62nd season of the Süper Lig, the highest tier football league of Turkey. The season was named after Cemil Usta, a former Turkish national team player and Trabzonspor legend. Galatasaray were the defending champions. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, The Ministry of Youth and Sports announced on 12 March 2020 that matches would be played behind closed doors until the end of April, before indefinitely suspending matches altogether on 19 March. After a hiatus of nearly three months, the season resumed behind closed doors on 12 June 2020, with eight rounds still to play. The season ended with matches played on 26 July 2020, and without relegations. 	TFF First League The TFF 1. Lig, officially known as Spor Toto 1. Lig for sponsorship reasons, is the second level of the Turkish football league system. The league was founded in 2001 as the ''Turkish Second League Category A'' after the reorganization of the Second Football League, which was the second level of the Turkish league system between 1963 and 2001. 	Cemil Usta Cemil Usta (10 April 1951 – 5 March 2003) was a Turkish football player who played as a leftback. A one-club man, Usta solely represented Trabzonspor at a senior level and was a long-time captain of the team in their golden age. Usta twice represented the Turkey national football team. Usta was nicknamed ''Dozer'' (Turkish for bulldozer). Death On 15 March 2003, Usta died from a heart attack in his hometown Trabzon.
