2019–20 Nevada Wolf Pack Men's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 Nevada Wolf Pack men's basketball team represented the University of Nevada, Reno during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Wolf Pack, led by first-year head coach Steve Alford, played their home games at the Lawlor Events Center on their campus in Reno, Nevada as members of the Mountain West Conference (MW). They finished the season 19–12, 12–6 in Mountain West play to finish in a three-way tie for second place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Mountain West tournament to Wyoming. Previous season The Wolf Pack finished the season 29–5, 15–3 in Mountain West play to share the regular season Mountain West championship with Utah State. Steve Alford
Stephen Todd Alford (born November 23, 1964) is an American men's college basketball coach and former professional player who is the head coach for the Nevada Wolf Pack of the Mountain West Conference (MWC). Born and raised in Indiana, he was a two-time consensus first-team All-American playing in college for the Indiana Hoosiers. He led them to a national championship in 1987. After playing professionally for four years in the National Basketball Association (NBA), he has been a college head coach for almost 30 years. Alford was named Indiana Mr. Basketball in high school before playing at Indiana University Bloomington under coach Bobby Knight. He helped the Hoosiers claim their fifth national championship, and finished his career as Indiana's all-time leading scorer. Alford was selected in the second round of the 1987 NBA draft by the Dallas Mavericks, and played four years in the league with Dallas and the Golden State Warriors. The Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball team represents the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas in NCAA Division I men's basketball competition. The team competes in the Southeastern Conference. Arkansas plays its home games in Bud Walton Arena on the University of Arkansas campus. Jordan Isaiah Brown (born December 4, 1999) is an American college basketball player for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns of the Sun Belt Conference (SBC). He previously played for the Nevada Wolf Pack and the Arizona Wildcats. High school career Brown attended Woodcreek High School for three years. As a freshman, he averaged 22.7 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks leading his team to a 27–6 record. As a sophomore, he averaged 26.7 points and 15.0 rebounds leading his team to a 20–9 record. Upper Marlboro, officially the Town of Upper Marlboro, is the seat of Prince George's County, Maryland.
