2019–20 Liga IV Buzău
The 2019–20 Liga IV Buzău was the 52nd season of the Liga IV Buzău, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began on 24 August 2019 and was scheduled to end in June 2020, but was suspended in March because of the COVID-19 pandemic in Romania. AJF Buzău intended to end the season with a play-off between the first four ranked teams, but he came to the conclusion that the teams cannot comply with the medical protocol and decided to declare CSM Râmnicu Sărat, Râmnicu Sărat the county champion and the representative of Buzău County at the 2019–20 Liga IV, promotion play-off to Liga III. Liga IV Buzău
Liga IV Buzău is the county football division of Liga IV for clubs based in Buzău County, România. The competition is ranked as the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system and it is competed between 18 teams, the winner may or may not be promoted to Liga III, depending on the result of a promotion play-off that is disputed against a winner of the neighboring counties series. History In 1968, along with the territorial reorganization of the country, but also due to the large number of requests, the Romanian Football Federation proposes a competitive system in which each county has its own football championship, which will activate the former teams in the regional championship as well as the racing and town championship teams from the previous edition.
