2019–20 Lebanese FA Cup
The 2019–20 Lebanese FA Cup was intended to be the 48th edition of the national football cup competition of Lebanon. It started with the First round on 12 October 2019. Lebanese Premier League side Ahed were the defending champions. The Lebanese Football Association suspended all competitions on 21 January 2020 due to the political and financial situation in Lebanon; this resulted in the indefinite suspension of all football matches in Lebanon. With the COVID-19 pandemic also stopping sporting activities nationwide, the 2019–20 season was officially cancelled on 28 May 2020. Al Ahed FC
Al Ahed Football Club ( ar, نادي العهد الرياضي, lit=The Covenant Sporting Club) is a football club based in Ouzai, a district in Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the Lebanese Premier League, the top flight of Lebanese football. The club was founded in 1964 as Al Ahed Al Jadeed, starting in the Third Division, before they first reached the Lebanese Premier League for the first time in 1996. Nicknamed "the Yellow Castle" (), Ahed have won one AFC Cup title, eight Premier League titles, six FA Cup titles, eight Super Cup titles, six Elite Cup titles, and one Federation Cup title. They earned their first league title in 2008, and have won three unbeaten (in 2010, 2018 and 2022). Founded in 1986 as Nabi Chit Sport Club (), the club was known as Bekaa Sport Club ( ar, نادي البقاع الرياضي, links=no) between 2018 and 2020. History Nabi Chit Sport Club first played in the Lebanese Premier League in the 2014–15 season, after winning Group B of the 2013–14 Lebanese Second Division: they became the first team to represent the Beqaa Governorate in the first division. Akhaa Ahli Aley Football Club (), commonly referred to as Akhaa Ahli Aley, Akhaa Ahli or simply Akhaa, is a football club based in Aley, Lebanon, that competes in the . Nejmeh Sporting Club ( ar, نادي النجمة الرياضي, lit=The Star Sporting Club) is a football club based in Manara, a district in Ras Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the . The club was established in Beirut in 1945, and received its license in 1947. Nejmeh's board is affiliated with the Future Movement and the Hariri family.
