2019–20 Kansas Jayhawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball team represented the University of Kansas in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season, which was the Jayhawks' 122nd basketball season. The Jayhawks, members of the Big 12 Conference, played their home games at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas. They were led by 17th year Hall of Fame head coach Bill Self. Season notes The Jayhawks attempted to rebound from losing six players through the draft and outgoing transfers, including Silvio De Sousa, who had been battling the NCAA regarding his eligibility. Bill Self
Billy Eugene Self Jr. (born December 27, 1962) is an American basketball coach. He is the head men's basketball coach at the University of Kansas, a position he has held since 2003. During his 19 seasons as head coach, he has led the Jayhawks to 16 Big 12 regular season championships, including an NCAA record 14 consecutive Big 12 regular season championships, some of which were shared (2005–2018). He has also led the Jayhawks to four NCAA Final Four appearances (2008, 2012, 2018, 2022), the 2008 NCAA championship and 2022 NCAA championship. Self was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2017. Devon Dotson
Devon Durrell Dotson (born August 2, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Capital City Go-Go of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks. High school career Dotson attended Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina, along with Grant Williams and Joshua Howard, graduating in 2018. During his senior year of high school, Dotson averaged 28.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 5.1 assists, leading the school to its sixth conference title. Devon scored 2,607 points becoming the school's all-time leader in points. Devon was a 4 Time All-Conference and 3 Time All-State Selection. The Vanderbilt Commodores men's basketball team represents Vanderbilt University in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball team is part of the University of Iowa athletics department. Charlie Edward Moore (born February 3, 1998) is an American basketball player for Pistoia Basket 2000 of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA), whose college basketball career spanned four major conferences culminating with a year for the Miami Hurricanes of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) during the 2021–22 ACC basketball season.
