2019–20 Federation Cup (Bangladesh)
The 2019–20 Federation Cup, also known as ''TVS Federation Cup 2019'' (due to sponsorship reason from TVS Motor Company), was 31st edition of the tournament, the main domestic annual club football competition in Bangladesh organized by Bangladesh Football Federation. The 13 participants will compete for the tournament. The winner of the tournament will earn the slot of playing preliminary round of 2021 AFC Cup. Dhaka Abahani are current champions. The club have defeated Bashundhara Kings by 3–1 on 23 November 2018. Bangladesh Federation Cup
Federation Cup, also known as Bangladesh Federation Cup, is Bangladesh's premier cup competition in men's association football. The competition started in 1980 and is run by the Bangladesh Football Federation which is responsible for all types of competitive matches in the country. The teams from the country's premier league and other clubs compete in the tournament while occasionally Indian sides were invited in the past. Most of the matches are played in the country's main football venue Bangabandhu National Stadium. The winner of the tournament earn the slot of playing qualifying round of AFC Cup. Format A total of 13 teams participate in the final round. Teams are split into 4 groups. Two teams from each group qualify for the knockout rounds. Arambagh KS
Arambagh Krira Sangha is a Bangladeshi sports club based in Dhaka, that competes in the Dhaka Senior Division Football League, the third-tier of football in Bangladesh. History Arambagh Krira Sangha were formed in Dhaka way back in 1958. Originally established as a football club, Arambagh later added handball, basketball and volleyball in their roster. However, they became the first club from Bangladesh who played in final in an international club tournament during 1981 ANFA Cup, hosted by Nepal. Uttar Baridhara Club ( bn, উত্তর বারিধারা ক্লাব) is a Bangladeshi football club, established in 1995, based in Kalachandpur, Baridhara, Dhaka. The club currently competing in Bangladesh Premier League as they became runners-up in 2018–19 Bangladesh Championship League and got promotion. Muktijoddha Sangsad KC ( bn, মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সংসদ ক্রীড়া চক্র) is a Bangladeshi professional football club based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The club is nicknamed The Freedom Fighters. It competes in the country's premier competition, Bangladesh Premier League. History Early Years Founded in 1981, by the Muktijoddha Sangsad welfare association, in remembrance of the Freedom Fighters that died in Bangladesh during the 1971 Liberation War. In 1982, during their time in the Dhaka First Division, Muktijoddha formed a fierce rivalry with BRTC FC. The two clubs fought head on for promotion and during the league ending game, Muktijoddha's forward "Lucky" Govinda who was lethal throughout the season was not able to prevent the clubs defeat.
