2019–20 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League
The 2019–20 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League was an edition of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, a List A cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. It was the seventh edition of the tournament with List A status, although almost 35 seasons have been played before achieving the status. The tournament started on 15 March 2020, and was scheduled to finish on 8 May 2020 Ahead of the tournament, a total of 137 players were transferred. Abahani Limited were the defending champions. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament started as planned. However, after the conclusion of matches played on 15 and 16 March 2020, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) postponed all further matches until 31 March 2020 at the earliest due to the pandemic. Bangladesh Cricket Board
The Bangladesh Cricket board ( bn, বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট বোর্ড; abbreviated as BCB) is the governing body of cricket in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Cricket Board first became an associate member of the International Cricket Council in 1977 and on June 26, 2000 became a Full Member. BCB have three International Cricket teams which represent Bangladesh in international cricket, which are Bangladesh Men's national cricket team, Bangladesh women's national cricket team and Bangladesh under-19 cricket team. Partex Sporting Club
Partex Sporting Club is a team that has played List A cricket in the Dhaka Premier League in 2014–15, 2016–17 and 2019–20. It is owned by the Partex Group of companies. Playing history Promoted from the lower division, Partex won their first match in 2014-15 but finished the season with only three wins from 13 matches, and were demoted for the 2015–16 season. In 2015-16 they finished first in Group A of the non-List-A Dhaka First Division League, and were promoted back to the Dhaka Premier League for 2016–17. However, they won only one match and in May 2017 they were relegated from the 2016–17 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League back down to the Dhaka First Division Cricket League. Masudur Rahman
Masudur Rahman (born 13 April 1975) is a Bangladeshi international cricket umpire and former first-class cricketer. A right-handed batsman and off-break bowler, he made his first-class debut for Dhaka Metropolis in 2000/01 and played for Barisal Division in 2001/02 and Dhaka Division from 2003/04 to 2004/05. Mushfiqur Rahim ( bn, মুশফিকুর রহিম; born 9 May 1987) is a Bangladeshi cricketer and the former captain and vice-captain of the Bangladesh national cricket team. Shinepukur Cricket Club is a cricket team in Bangladesh. Before the 2016–17 season the Cricket Coaching School club defaulted on its player payments and was bought by Beximco, Bangladesh's largest conglomerate, and renamed Shinepukur Cricket Club, after Shinepukur Ceramics, a subsidiary of Beximco.
