2019–20 College Football Playoff
The 2019–20 College Football Playoff was a single-elimination postseason tournament that determined the national champion of the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. It was the sixth edition of the College Football Playoff (CFP) and involved the top four teams in the country as ranked by the College Football Playoff poll playing in two semifinals, with the winners of each advancing to the national championship game. The 2019 Peach Bowl (known for sponsorship reasons as the 2019 Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl) was a college football bowl game played on December 28, 2019, with kickoff at 4:00 p.m. EST on ESPN. It was the 52nd edition of the Peach Bowl, and was one of the 2019–20 bowl games concluding the 2019 FBS football season. The Big 12 Conference is a college athletic conference headquartered in Irving, Texas, USA. It consists of ten full-member universities. It is a member of Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for all sports. Its football teams compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS; formerly Division I-A), the higher of two levels of NCAA Division I football competition. Ken Hatfield
Kenneth Wahl Hatfield (born June 6, 1943) is a former American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at the United States Air Force Academy (1979–1983), the University of Arkansas (1984–1989), Clemson University (1990–1993), and Rice University (1994–2005), compiling a career college football record of 168–140–4. Playing career Hatfield is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, where he starred at defensive back for the 1964 Arkansas Razorbacks football team, 1964 team that won a share of the College football national championships in NCAA Division I FBS, national championship. Joe Castiglione (athletic Director)
Joseph Robert Castiglione (born October 8, 1957) is vice president for Intercollegiate Athletics Programs and Director of Athletics at the University of Oklahoma. Since his arrival at Oklahoma in April 1998, the school has won a total of twenty-two national championships in football (2000); softball (2000, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2021, 2022); men's golf (2017); men's gymnastics (2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018); and women's gymnastics (2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2022). Frank Beamer
Franklin Mitchell Beamer (born October 18, 1946) is a retired American college football coach, most notably for the Virginia Tech Hokies, and former college football player. He is the father of current South Carolina Gamecocks head coach Shane Beamer. Beamer was a cornerback for Virginia Tech from 1966 to 1968. His coaching experience began in 1972, and from 1981 to 1986 Beamer served as the head football coach at Murray State University. He then went on to become the head football coach at Virginia Tech from 1987 until his final game in 2015. He was one of the longest tenured active coaches in NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision and, at the time of his retirement, was the winningest active coach at that level. The Virginia Tech Hokies football team represents Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in the sport of American football. Gary Barta (born September 4, 1963) is the current athletic director at the University of Iowa. Before coming to Iowa, Barta was the athletic director at the University of Wyoming from 2003 to 2006. In early 2005, Barta was a finalist for the athletic director position at Arizona State University.
