2019–20 Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1
The 2019–20 Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 was the 58th season of the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 since its establishment in 1962. A total of 16 teams contested the league. The Ligue Professionnelle 1 kicked off on August 15, 2019, this time without an official sponsorship for the first time since 2008–09, Mobilis ATM did nothing to renew the contract. The Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 ( ar, الرابطة الجزائرية المحترفة الأولى لكرة القدم); known as Championnat National de Première Division or Ligue 1 for short, and formerly known as the Championnat National 1, is the Algerian professional league for association football clubs. Chlef
Chlef ( ar, الشلف, Berber: Clef) is the capital of Chlef Province, Algeria. Located in the north of Algeria, west of the capital, Algiers, it was founded in 1843, as Orléansville, on the ruins of Roman ''Castellum Tingitanum''. In 1962, it was renamed al-Asnam, but after the devastating earthquake on October 10, 1980, it has borne its present name, Chlef, which is derived from the name of the Chelif River, the longest river in Algeria.
