2019 Wisconsin Badgers Football Team
The 2019 Wisconsin Badgers football team represented the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Badgers were led by fifth-year head coach Paul Chryst and competed as members of the West Division of the Big Ten Conference. Paul Chryst
Paul Joseph Chryst (born November 17, 1965) is a former American football head coach and former player. He was most recently the head football coach for the Wisconsin Badgers. Chryst was the head coach at the University of Pittsburgh from 2012 to 2014. Prior to his head coaching career, Chryst had previously been the offensive coordinator at Wisconsin from 2005 through 2011. He also served in the same capacity at Oregon State University and was an assistant coach for the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League. Chryst played college football at Wisconsin, where he lettered as a quarterback and tight end from 1986 to 1988. The 2019 Minnesota Golden Gophers football team represented the University of Minnesota in the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Michael Deiter
Michael Deiter (born September 3, 1996) is an American football center for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Wisconsin, and was drafted by the Dolphins in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Early years Deiter attended Genoa Area High School in Genoa, Ohio. While there, he played high school football. In his junior season, he was selected Northern Buckeye Conference all-conference as both offensive lineman and defensive lineman in 2012. The 2018 Miami Hurricanes football team (variously "Miami", "The U", "UM", "'Canes") represented the University of Miami during the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Hurricanes were led by third-year head coach Mark Richt and played their home games at Hard Rock Stadium. They competed as a member of the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The 2018 Pinstripe Bowl was a college football bowl game played on December 27, 2018. It was the ninth edition of the Pinstripe Bowl, and one of the 2018–19 bowl games concluding the 2018 FBS football season. Sponsored by the New Era Cap Company, the game was officially known as the New Era Pinstripe Bowl. The game was a rematch of the 2017 Orange Bowl, won by Wisconsin, 34–24. Zack Baun (born December 30, 1996) is an American football outside linebacker for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Wisconsin and was selected 74th overall by the Saints in the 2020 NFL Draft. Early life and high school Baun grew up in West Bend, Wisconsin and initially attended West Bend East High School. Jack Coan
Jack Coan (born December 8, 1998) is an American football quarterback for the San Antonio Brahmas of the XFL. He played college football for Wisconsin and Notre Dame. High school and college career Born in Sayville, New York, Coan went to Sayville High School, and in 2017 he decided to commit to the University of Wisconsin to play football. After three seasons Coan was finally the starter for Wisconsin, before suffering an injury that sidelined him for the whole of the 2020 season. He would announce his transfer as a graduate student to the University of Notre Dame, where he was subsequently named the starting quarterback. He would enter the 2022 NFL Draft the following year. Tyler Biadasz ( ; born November 20, 1997) is an American football center for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Wisconsin and was drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Early years Biadasz attended Amherst High School in Amherst, Wisconsin. He was named first-team all-state after his junior and senior seasons as a defensive tackle. The state coaches also named him honorable-mention All-state on offense both years.
