2019 West Coast Conference Women's Basketball Tournament
The 2019 University Credit Union West Coast Conference women's basketball tournament was a postseason women's basketball tournament held for the West Coast Conference for the 2018–19 NCAA Division I women's basketball season, 2018–19 season. All tournament games were played at the Orleans Arena in the Las Vegas area community of Paradise, Nevada from March 7–12, 2019. 2018–19 BYU Cougars women's basketball team, BYU won the championship game over 2018–19 Gonzaga Bulldogs women's basketball team, Gonzaga. Paisley Johnson was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. Seeds All 10 WCC schools will participate in the tournament. Teams will be seeded by conference record, with the following tiebreaker system used to seed teams with identical conference records: * Head-to-head record. * Record against the top team in the conference not involved in the tie, going down through the standings as necessary to break the tie. Orleans Arena
Orleans Arena is a 9,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Paradise, Nevada, in the Las Vegas Valley. It is located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino and is operated by Coast Casinos, a subsidiary of Boyd Gaming Corporation. The arena is the home to the Vegas Rollers of World TeamTennis since 2019. It is also an occasional home for the UNLV Rebels basketball team when the Thomas & Mack Center is in use. The arena was the home of the Las Vegas Wranglers ice hockey team from 2003 to 2014, the Las Vegas Gladiators arena football team in 2007, as well as the Las Vegas Sin women's football team. In 2020, the Vegas Golden Knights announced it was purchasing and relocating an American Hockey League (AHL) franchise. The Henderson Silver Knights play at Orleans Arena while the club's new 6,000-seat arena is constructed in Henderson, Nevada.
