2019 WAFL Season
The 2019 WAFL season (officially the 2019 Optus WAFL Premiership Season) was the 135th season of the various incarnations of the West Australian Football League (WAFL). The season commenced on 6 April and concluded on 22 September 2019. defeated in the Grand Final by 96 points, the club's fourth premiership in six years and fifteenth overall. The 2019 season saw the introduction of a 10th team into the league, the West Coast Eagles reserves, after their alignment with was terminated in July 2018. 2019 AFL Season
The 2019 AFL season was the 123rd season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior men's Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured eighteen clubs, ran from 21 March until 28 September, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. The premiership was won by the Richmond Football Club for the twelfth time, after it defeated by 89 points in the 2019 AFL Grand Final. Australian Football League
The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. This is a list of the West Australian Football League premiers, the premier state-based Australian rules football league in Western Australia, and includes premiers of the Western Australian Football Association (1885–1906), Western Australian National Football League (1931–1979), WA State League (1990) and Westar Rules (1997–2000). The West Perth Football Club, nicknamed the Falcons, is an Australian rules football club located in Joondalup, Western Australia.
