2019 VFL Women's Season
The 2019 VFL Women's season was the fourth season of the VFL Women's (VFLW). The season commenced on 5 May and concluded with the Grand Final on 22 September 2019. The competition was contested by thirteen clubs. This was to be the last VFLW season until 2021, with no competition held in 2020 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Jaimee Lambert
Jaimee Lambert (born 6 November 1992) is an Australian rules footballer playing for St Kilda in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She has previously played for Western Bulldogs and Collingwood State league and representative football Lambert has played Victorian Women's Football League (VWFL) football with the Eastern Devils from 2014 to 2016. She had previously played with Keysborough in the VWFL's south east division. Lambert won the Susan Alberti award as the Western Bulldogs best and fairest player in the 2016 AFL exhibition series. Williamstown Football Club
The Williamstown Football Club, nicknamed The Seagulls, is an Australian rules football club based in Melbourne. The club currently competes in the men's and women's Victorian Football League and VFLW competitions. History The Williamstown Football Club was formed in 1864, making it one of the oldest football clubs in Australia. The club was initially considered a junior club, before being granted senior status in 1884. Starting in 1884, the club competed in the Victorian Football Association. Williamstown's original colours were black and yellow. When it joined the VFA, the Williamstown Football Club sought to play its matches at the Williamstown Cricket Ground, but was not granted permission owing to a dispute with the Williamstown Cricket Club, and instead used the unfenced Gardens Reserve as its home ground. Libby Birch
Libby Birch (born 3 December 1997) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for Melbourne in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She played the first 3 seasons of AFLW for the Western Bulldogs. She previously played netball and captained Victoria at the National Netball Championships. Birch is currently studying a Physiotherapy degree at La Trobe University. In 2016, Birch switched from netball to Australian rules football and was recruited by the Western Bulldogs as a rookie after having only played football for three months for the Darebin Falcons in the VFL Women's. Tilly Lucas-Rodd
Matilda Lucas-Rodd (born 18 April 1996) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Hawthorn Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She previously played for the Carlton Football Club from 2017 to 2019 and the St Kilda Football Club from 2020 to 2022. She was the inaugural Hawthorn best and fairest winner, and has served as Hawthorn captain since season seven. Jayde Van Dyk (born 28 March 1996) is an Australian rules footballer playing for St Kilda in the AFL Women's (AFLW). A defender who played with Hawthorn in the VFL Women's (VFLW), she was drafted by Carlton with the twenty-first selection in the 2018 AFLW draft. Van Dyk debuted in the opening round of the 2019 season and played in the 2019 AFL Women's Grand Final. Early career Van Dyk played for her local club in Chirnside Park, Victoria. Stacey Livingstone (born 23 January 1988) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Collingwood Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Early life and state football Livingstone was born in New South Wales but raised in Queensland. Victoria Park is a stadium, sports venue in Abbotsford, Victoria, Abbotsford, a suburb of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia.
