2019 UCI Road World Championships – Women's Time Trial
The Women's time trial of the 2019 UCI Road World Championships was a cycling event that took place on 24 September 2019 in Harrogate, England. It was the 26th edition of the event, for which Dutch rider Annemiek van Vleuten was the defending champion, having won in 2018 UCI Road World Championships – Women's time trial, 2018. 53 riders from 33 nations entered the competition. Dygert Owen finished over a minute and a half ahead of the previous year's runner-up Anna van der Breggen, who finished second for the third year in a row. Defending champion Annemiek van Vleuten finished third at a further twenty seconds slower than van der Breggen. Qualification All National Federations were allowed to enter four riders for the race, with a maximum of two riders to start. In addition to this number, the outgoing World Champion and the current continental champions were also able to take part. 2019 UCI Road World Championships
The 2019 UCI Road World Championships was the 92nd edition of the UCI Road World Championships, the annual world championships for road bicycle racing. It took place between 22 and 29 September 2019 in the historic county of Yorkshire, United Kingdom, the fourth to be held in the United Kingdom. The championships are traditionally hosted by a single town or city but, while each event in 2019 finished in the North Yorkshire town of Harrogate, the whole historic county of Yorkshire was the official host. Heavy rainfall caused some of the events to be re-routed and delayed. Men and women were split into the categories of elite, under-23 (only men) and junior, competing individually in the two traditional road race and time trial disciplines of road bicycle racing. Alice Barnes (born 17 July 1995) is an English racing cyclist, who rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Career Barnes enjoyed success at the UK School Games in Sheffield in 2011, where she not only won the individual mountain bike event, but also rode solo in the relay, beating the fastest of the four-rider teams by several seconds. Lisa Nordén (born 24 November 1984, Kristianstad, Skåne, Sweden) is a professional Swedish triathlete, 2012 Olympic silver medalist, and 2008 and 2016 Olympian.
