2019 Tour De Yorkshire
The 2019 Tour de Yorkshire was a four-day cycling stage race held in Yorkshire over 2–5 May 2019. It was the fifth edition of the Tour de Yorkshire, organised by Welcome to Yorkshire and the Amaury Sport Organisation. The race was rated as a 2.HC event as part of the UCI Europe Tour. The race started in Doncaster on 2 May and finished in Leeds on the 5 May. It was broadcast on ITV. Route In December 2018, the stages were announced, coupled with names, and the final stage of Halifax to Leeds being named ''The Yorkshire Classic''. The Halifax to Leeds race was also the final stage in the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire and at the launch event, Sir Gary Verity revealed that this stage would be repeated as the final stage in each future iteration of the TdY, with a minor tweak or two. 2019 UCI Europe Tour
The 2019 UCI Europe Tour was the fifteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2019 season began on 31 January 2019 with the Vuelta a Mallorca, Trofeo Porreres, Felanitx, Ses Salines, Campos and ended on 20 October 2019. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Vitus Pro Cycling Team p/b Brother UK () is a British UCI Continental cycling team. From 2010 to 2017, the team was sponsored by the Raleigh Bicycle Company, before Vitus took over the naming rights in 2018. Rick Zabel (born 7 December 1993) is a road bicycle racer from Germany, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He is the son of Erik Zabel and grandson of Detlef Zabel. Cycling career Born in Unna, Zabel won the National Novice Track Championships in 2009, in the Madison event. In 2010 he enjoyed more success in track events, and in 2011, at the UCI Road World Championships in Copenhagen, he was fifth in the men's junior road race.
