2019 Tour Du Haut Var
The 2019 Tour du Haut Var was a road cycling stage race that took place from 22 to 24 February 2019. The race was rated as a 2.1 event as part of the 2019 UCI Europe Tour, and was the 51st edition of the Tour du Haut Var. Teams Eighteen teams were invited to start the race. These included four UCI WorldTeams, six UCI Professional Continental teams and seven UCI Continental teams. 2019 UCI Europe Tour
The 2019 UCI Europe Tour was the fifteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2019 season began on 31 January 2019 with the Vuelta a Mallorca, Trofeo Porreres, Felanitx, Ses Salines, Campos and ended on 20 October 2019. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Sep Vanmarcke (born 27 July 1988) is a Belgian professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . In August 2021 he was named to the start list for the Vuelta a España, his seventh Grand Tour. Career Vanmarcke was born in Kortrijk. Garmin–Cervélo (2011–2012) He took the biggest win of his career to date on the 2012 Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, attacking fiercely twice. The first attack came on the Molenberg climb, thinning the field, and he attacked again on the 'Lange Munte' cobbled section to reduce the lead group to only two competitors, Juan Antonio Flecha () and Tom Boonen (). Krists Neilands (born 18 August 1994) is a Latvian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Israel Cycling Academy (2017–present) In 2017, Kuldīga-born Neilands won the Latvian National Road Race Championships, and stage 5 at the Tour d'Azerbaïdjan. At the 2018 Milan–San Remo, Neilands attacked on the famous Poggio di San Remo climb. He got a small gap to the peloton with Vincenzo Nibali; however, Neilands could not keep up with Nibali, who later won the race, while Neilands finished 23rd. Alexis Vuillermoz (born 1 June 1988) is a French road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam . Career He was originally a mountain bike racer before switching to road cycling, winning the French national under-23 mountain bike title twice and riding as part of the French national team that took the team relay title at the 2008 Mountain Bike World Championships. Mont Faron
Mont Faron is a mountain overlooking the city and roadstead of Toulon, France. It is 584m high. At its peak is a memorial dedicated to the 1944 Allied landings in Provence (Operation Dragoon), and to the liberation of Toulon. The top can be reached either by a cable car from Toulon, or by a steep and narrow road which ascends from the west side and descends on the east side.
