2019 Tour Colombia
The 2019 Tour Colombia was a road cycling stage race that took place in Colombia between 12 and 17 February 2019. It was the second edition of the Tour Colombia, and was rated as a 2.1 event as part of the UCI America Tour. Miguel Angel Lopez won for Team Astana. Teams Twenty-eight teams were invited to start the race. These included six UCI WorldTeams, 7 UCI Professional Continental teams, 12 UCI Continental teams and three national teams. 2019 UCI America Tour
The 2019 UCI America Tour was the fifteenth season of the UCI America Tour. The season began on October 23, 2018 with the Vuelta a Guatemala and ended on 12 October 2019. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI America Tour cycling jersey. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Bob Jungels (born 22 September 1992) is a Luxembourgish road bicycle racer, who rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Born in Rollingen, Mersch, Luxembourg, Jungels competed in the Tour de France for the first time in 2015, as part of the UCI World Tour team , finishing 27th overall and 5th in the young rider classification. Etixx–Quick-Step (2016–20) Jungels signed for for the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Juan Sebastián Molano Benavides (born 11 April 1994) is a Colombian professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Molano was named in the startlist for the 2017 Vuelta a España. He started riding in the 2019 Giro d'Italia, but he was suspended by his team following stage 3 after "seemingly unusual physiological results". La Ceja, Antioquia
La Ceja del Tambo, often called simply La Ceja, is a town and municipality in the Antioquia Department of Colombia. It is part of the subregion of Eastern Antioquia. La Ceja borders the Rionegro and Carmen de Viboral municipalities to the north, La Unión to the east, and Montebello and Retiro to the west. It is located approximately 41 kilometers from Medellín, one of the main cities of the department. Team Time Trial
A team time trial (TTT) is a road bicycle race in which teams of cyclists race against the clock (see individual time trial for a more detailed description of ITT events). The winning team in a TTT is determined by the comparing the times of (usually) the fourth-finishing rider in each team (though the relevant finish position can be otherwise specified in advance by the race organisers). This means that each team will try to get their first four (at least) riders across the finish line in a tight group: it is actually a disadvantage for any rider to finish far in advance of the fourth rider, as by staying back a faster rider can help the fourth rider to get a quicker time.
