2019 Toulon Tournament
The 2019 Toulon Tournament (officially french: 47ème Festival International "Espoirs" – Tournoi Maurice Revello) was the 47th edition of the Toulon Tournament. It was held in the department of Bouches-du-Rhône from 1 to 15 June 2019. England were the defending champions but they were eliminated in the group stage. In this season the tournament was contested by under-22 national teams, although France, Portugal, England and Republic of Ireland played with their under-18, under-19, under-20 and under-21 teams, respectively. Brazil won their ninth title by defeating Japan 5–4 in a penalty shoot-out in the final, after the match had finished in a 1–1 draw. Matheus Cunha
Matheus Santos Carneiro Cunha (born 27 May 1999), commonly known as Matheus Cunha, is a Brazilian professional association football, footballer who plays as a Forward (association football), forward for Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C., Wolverhampton Wanderers, on loan from La Liga club Atlético Madrid, and the Brazil national football team, Brazil national team. Goal difference, goal differential or points difference is a form of tiebreaker used to rank sport teams which finish on equal points in a league competition. A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. Willy Delajod (born 25 September 1992) is a French football referee who officiates in Ligue 1. He is a FIFA referee, and is ranked as a UEFA second category referee.
