2019 TCR Japan Touring Car Series
The 2019 TCR Japan Touring Car Series season was the first season of the TCR Japan Touring Car Series. The series supported the 2019 Super Formula Championship. Teams and drivers Yokohama is set to be the official tyre supplier. 2019 Super Formula Championship
The 2019 Japanese Super Formula Championship was the forty-seventh season of premier Japanese open-wheel motor racing, and the seventh under the moniker of Super Formula. The season began on 21 April at Suzuka Circuit and ended on 27 October at the same location. 2019 marked the first season of the Dallara SF19 chassis package, while continuing the engine configuration of the preceding chassis. Nick Cassidy clinched his first Driver's Championship title, after finishing ahead of reigning champion Naoki Yamamoto at the season finale at Suzuka. Suzuka Circuit
The , more famously known as the , is a long motorsport race track located in Ino, Suzuka, Mie, Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, Japan and operated by Honda Mobilityland, a subsidiary of Honda, Honda Motor Co, Ltd. It has a capacity of 155,000. Introduction Soichiro Honda decided to develop a new permanent circuit in Mie prefecture in the late 1950s. Designed as a Honda test track in 1962 by Dutchman John Hugenholtz, John "Hans" Hugenholtz, the most iconic feature of the track is its "figure eight" layout, with the long back straight passing over the front section by means of an overpass. Okayama International Circuit (岡山国際サーキット), formerly known as TI Circuit Aida (TIサーキット英田) before 2005, is a private motorsport race track in Mimasaka, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. Fuji Speedway
is a motorsport race track standing in the foothills of Mount Fuji, in Oyama, Suntō District, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It was built in the early 1960s. In the 1980s, Fuji Speedway was used for the FIA World Sportscar Championship and national racing. Originally managed by Mitsubishi Estate Co., Fuji Speedway was acquired by Toyota Motor Corporation in 2000. is a Japanese businessperson and auto racing driver. He founded Yuke's, a video game developer company, in Sakai, Osaka in 1993. Early career As a child, Taniguchi became an enthusiastic arcade gamer, spending much time on early arcade games such as Space Invaders. TCR Japan Touring Car Series
The TCR Japan Touring Car Series is a touring car racing series based in Japan, the first of its kind since Japanese Touring Car Championship folded in 1998. In an agreement between WSC Ltd and Japan TCR Management, the TCR Japan Series began in 2019. The competition takes advantage of the success of the class in the Super Taikyu Series and runs on the same weekends as the Super Formula, the most important single-seater category in Japan.
