2019 South Korean Figure Skating Championships
The 2019 South Korean Figure Skating Championships were held from January 11–13, 2019 at the Mokdong Ice Rink in Seoul. It was organized by the Korean Skating Union. This was the 73rd edition of these championships held. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles and ladies' singles on the senior and junior levels and ice dancing on the junior level for the title of national champion of South Korea. The results of the national championships were used to choose the Korean teams to the 2019 World Junior Championships and 2019 World Championships. 2018–19 National Figure Skating Championships
National figure skating championships of the 2018–19 season are taking place mainly between December 2018 and January 2019. They are held to crown national champions and may serve as part of the selection process for international events such as the 2019 ISU Figure Skating Championships and the 2019 Winter Universiade. Cha Young-hyun
Cha Young-hyun (; born September 24, 2003) is a South Korean figure skater and a tightrope dancer (eoreum-sani) of Namsadang. He is the 2017 South Korean national junior champion and the 2021 South Korean national bronze medalist. He has competed in the final segment at two ISU Championships ( 2018 World Junior Championships, 2019 World Junior Championships). Career Early career Cha started skating in 2007. He performed traditional Korean tightrope dancing in 2011 and holds the record as the youngest tightrope dancer (eoreum-sani) of Namsadang at eight years old. Choi Yu-jin (figure Skater)
Choi Yu-jin (Hangul: 최유진; born August 12, 2000) is a South Korean figure skater. She is the 2016 Merano Cup silver medalist. Career Choi placed 8th with a score of 136.47 in a Korean domestic competition to select skaters for the ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP). She made her JGP debut in Riga, Latvia, placing 8th with a total score of 141.33 points. In November 2015, she won the junior gold medal at the Golden Bear of Zagreb in Croatia. Kim Ha-nul (figure Skater)
Kim Ha-nul (Hangul: 김하늘; born April 11, 2002) is a South Korean figure skater. She represented South Korea at the 2018 Winter Olympics and has placed in the top ten at two ISU Championships – the 2018 Four Continents Championships and 2016 World Junior Championships. Career Early years Kim began learning to skate in 2010. Nationally, she finished 13th on the novice level in 2012 and 6th as a junior in 2013. Making her first appearance on the senior level, she placed 11th at the 2014 South Korean Championships, but was 22nd in 2015. 2015–2016 to 2016–2017 Kim placed fourth in August 2015 during a Korean competition to select skaters for the ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) series. Wi Seo-yeong (Hangul: 위서영; born March 15, 2005) is a South Korean figure skater. She is the 2022 CS Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist. On the junior level, she is the 2019 JGP France silver medalist and the 2018 South Korean junior national champion. She placed in the top six at two World Junior Championships (2020, 2022). She is a two-time Four Continents medalist, the 2022 NHK Trophy champion, 2022 Grand Prix de France silver medalist and the 2021 South Korean national champion. Park So-youn (, born October 24, 1997) is a retired South Korean figure skater. She is the 2012 Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy champion, the 2014 Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy bronze medalist, the 2015 South Korean national champion, and a three-time South Korean national silver medalist (2012–2014). She is the 2018 Rostelecom Cup bronze medalist, the two-time CS Asian Open champion (2018, 2019), the 2018 CS U.S. Classic silver medalist, and the 2017 South Korean national champion. She has finished within the top ten at three senior ISU Championships. Park Sung-hoon (; born December 8, 2002), known mononymously as Sunghoon, is a South Korean singer, former presenter and former figure skater. He competed as a figure skater from 2010 to early 2020; while simultaneously being a Bighit Music trainee since 2018, later transferring to Belift Lab.
