The 2019 Pro Golf Tour was the 23rd season of the Pro Golf Tour (formerly the EPD Tour), a third-tier tour recognised by the European Tour. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2019 season. Order of Merit The Order of Merit was based on tournament results during the season, calculated using a points-based system. The top five players on the Order of Merit (not otherwise exempt) earned status to play on the 2020 Challenge Tour. Sami Välimäki
Sami Välimäki (born 16 July 1998) is a Finnish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. On his 6th European Tour start he won the 2020 Oman Open. Amateur career During 2018 Välimäki was selected for the Europe team in the Bonallack Trophy and for the Continent of Europe team in the St Andrews Trophy. He played for the Finnish team that won the 2018 European Amateur Team Championship and represented Finland in the 2018 Eisenhower Trophy. He reached as high as 10th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking during 2018. While still an amateur, Välimäki also played a number of Nordic Golf League events in during 2017 and 2018. Professional career Välimäki turned professional in early 2019 after the completion of his military service in Finland. He played mostly on the Pro Golf Tour during 2019. Sebastian Heisele
Sebastian Heisele (born 8 August 1988) is a German professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He won the 2019 Open de Bretagne on the Challenge Tour. Amateur career Heisele was born in the Netherlands and grew up in Dubai, playing golf from the age of 12. He attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 2007 to 2011, graduating with a bachelor's degree in architecture. In 2011, while still an amateur, he won the Schloss Moyland Golfresort Classic on the Pro Golf Tour, beating Christoph Günther in a playoff. Professional career Heisele turned professional in 2012 and played on the Pro Golf Tour. Félix Mory
Félix Mory (born 20 March 1995) is a French professional golfer who plays on the Challenge Tour. He won the 2021 Dormy Open in Sweden. Amateur career Mory spent two seasons at Santa Barbara City College where he finished second at the Southern California Championship. He earned first team All-Western State Conference honors after finishing third in the conference, and was named Santa Barbara Athlete of the Year. Mory transferred to California State University, Northridge in 2015 and joined the Cal State Northridge Matadors men's golf team. 2020 Challenge Tour
The 2020 Challenge Tour is a series of professional golf tournaments collectively known as the Challenge Tour. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. It was introduced in 1986 and was originally called the Satellite Tour, before being renamed with its present title in 1990. After beginning with three tournaments in South Africa co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Tour, the remainder of the season was severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, with many tournaments being cancelled or postponed.
