2019 Pasig Local Elections
Local elections took place in Pasig on Monday, May 13, 2019, as part of the 2019 Philippine general election. Voters elected a mayor, a vice mayor, and a total of 12 councilors - six from each of the city's two districts. The election for the member from the lone legislative district of Pasig to the Philippine House of Representatives was also held concurrently. The election saw Vico Sotto of the Aksyon Demokratiko party winning the mayoral election against the incumbent Robert Eusebio of the Nacionalista Party, which ended the 27-year rule of the Eusebio family in Pasig. Incumbent vice mayor and Eusebio's running mate Iyo Christian Bernardo was re-elected to a third term as vice mayor unopposed. Vico Sotto
Victor Ma. Regis "Vico" Nubla Sotto (; born June 17, 1989) is a Filipino politician serving as the incumbent mayor of Pasig. Sotto first entered politics when he ran for a seat on the Pasig City Council in 2016. He won the election as an independent and served a term in the city council. 2019 Philippine Local Elections
Local elections in the Philippines were held on May 13, 2019. This was conducted together with the 2019 general election for national positions. All elected positions above the barangay (village) level were disputed. The following positions were disputed: * 81 provincial governorships and vice-governorships * 780 Provincial Board (Sangguniang Panlalawigan) members * 1,634 mayorships and vice mayorships * 13,544 city and municipal councilors (Sangguniang Panlungsod and Sangguniang Bayan) The elective positions in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) were not decided on this day. Roman Tecson Romulo (born February 28, 1967) is a Filipino politician and lawyer. Local elections were held in Pasig on May 9, 2016 within the Philippine general election. The voters elected for the elective local posts in the city: the mayor, vice mayor, the congressman, and the councilors, six of them in the two districts of the city. Background Bobby Eusebio, the former City Mayor and husband of the incumbent Mayor, Maribel Andaya Eusebio faced independent candidate Odylon Vincent Ramos for the mayoralty post in the polls. Bobby Eusebio had formerly been a mayor for two terms (2007-2010, 2010-2013). He filed for a third candidacy in 2013, but he withdrew when there was no formidable candidate.
