2019 Miami Marlins Season
The Miami Marlins' 2019 season was the 27th season for the Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise in the National League and the 8th as the "Miami" Marlins. The Marlins played their home games at Marlins Park as members of the National League East Division. They were unable to improve upon their record from the previous season, finished with the second worst record in the history of the franchise at 57-105, and were eliminated from the postseason for the sixteenth straight year. One highlight of their season was winning a season series over the Philadelphia Phillies for the first time since 2008, and sweeping them in a home series for the first time since 2009. National League East
The National League East is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. Along with the American League Central it is one of two divisions to have every member win at least one World Series title. The division was created when the National League (along with the American League) added two expansion teams and divided into two divisions, East and West effective for the 1969 season. The National League's geographical alignment was rather peculiar as its partitioning was really more north and south instead of east and west. Two teams in the Eastern Time Zone, the Atlanta Braves and the Cincinnati Reds, were in the same division as teams on the Pacific coast. Sandy Alcántara
Sandy Alcántara Montero (born September 7, 1995) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB). He signed with the St. Louis Cardinals as an international free agent in 2013, and made his MLB debut with them in 2017. In 2022, Alcántara unanimously won the National League Cy Young Award. Early life Alcántara was born in San Juan de la Maguana in the Dominican Republic. He is one of 11 children. Tyler John Anderson (born December 30, 1989) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB). Pablo José López Serra (born March 7, 1996) is a Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2018 Early life López was raised in Venezuela by his father, Danny, and his mother, Agnedis, both of whom were doctors. Adam Conley
Adam Michael Conley (born May 24, 1990) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Miami Marlins from 2015 to 2019 and the Tampa Bay Rays in 2021. Career Miami Marlins Conley was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 32nd round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft out of Olympia High School in Olympia, Washington. Germán Andres Márquez (born February 22, 1995) is a Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He won a Silver Slugger Award in 2018. The 2019 San Diego Padres season was the 51st season of the San Diego Padres franchise. The Padres played their home games at Petco Park as members of the Major League Baseball's National League West Division. On September 21, the Padres fired Andy Green as manager.
