2019 Melbourne Storm Season
The 2019 Melbourne Storm season is the 22nd in the club's history. They are competing in the 2019 NRL season. The team is coached by Craig Bellamy, coaching the club for his 17th consecutive season. Melbourne Storm are also captained by Cameron Smith, who has been the sole captain for the team since 2008—making this his 12th consecutive season and on 13 July 2019 he became the first NRL player to play 400 NRL games. On 31 August 2019 the Storm defeated the Manly Sea Eagles to win their 4th Minor Premiership. 2019 NRL Season
The 2019 NRL season was the 112th season of professional rugby league in Australia and the 22nd season run by the National Rugby League. The Sydney Roosters became the first team to win back-to-back Premierships since the Brisbane Broncos in 1992–93, and the first to achieve the feat since the unified NRL competition started in 1998. Teams The lineup of teams remained unchanged for the 13th consecutive year. Pre-season The 2019 pre-season featured the All Stars match held on February 15 at AAMI Park. The 2019 World Club Challenge match saw the NRL premiers Sydney Roosters defeat the Super League champions Wigan Warriors. Will Chambers
William Chambers (born 26 May 1988) is an Australian professional rugby union footballer who previously played for the LA Giltinis in Major League Rugby (MLR) in the United States. After winning two titles with the Melbourne Storm, he retired from Australia's NRL in 2021. He previously played at for the Melbourne Storm and Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the National Rugby League and Australia at international level in rugby league. He had played his entire NRL career until the end of the 2019 NRL season at the Storm, winning the 2012 and 2017 Grand Finals with them. New Zealand Warriors
The New Zealand Warriors are a professional rugby league football club based in Auckland, New Zealand that competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) premiership and is the League's only team from outside Australia. They were formed in 1995 as the Auckland Warriors, and are officially known as the One New Zealand Warriors for sponsorship reasons. The Warriors are coached by Andrew Webster and captained by Tohu Harris. The Warriors are based at Mount Smart Stadium in the Auckland suburb of Penrose. Kenny Bromwich
Kenneath Bromwich (born 22 September 1991) is a New Zealand professional rugby league footballer who plays as a forward for the Dolphins in the National Rugby League (NRL), and New Zealand at international level. Nelson Asofa-Solomona (born 29 February 1996) is a New Zealand professional rugby league footballer who plays as a for the Melbourne Storm in the NRL and New Zealand at international level. Asofa-Solomona won the 2017 NRL Grand Final and the 2020 NRL Grand Final with Melbourne. Craig Bellamy
Craig Douglas Bellamy (born 13 July 1979) is a Welsh former professional footballer who played as a forward and is current assistant manager at EFL Championship side Burnley. Born in Cardiff, Bellamy began his senior playing career with Norwich City, where he made his professional debut in 1996. He signed for Premier League side Coventry City in 2000, breaking the club's record transfer fee, but suffered relegation in his only season.
